A Century of Commemoration. Generations of Influence.

February 5, 2026

Black History Month carries memory, momentum, and meaning. This year marks 100 years of formal commemorations, but the creative influence is generational and ongoing.

As a Black woman working in media, Black History Month carries a specific weight, one part pride, one part responsibility, one part joy. This year, I’m celebrating by honoring Black voices exactly where they can shine: during primetime.

Personally, I was ecstatic to see our February lineup come together. It’s one of my favorite parts about working for a platform as unique and true as Creator Television. I get to watch women and men who look like me tell our stories, share our jokes, and create content our way.

Not adapted. Not softened or translated. Just ours. And while our likeness often appears in media and entertainment, seeing Black creators own their narratives on a streaming network feels different. It feels structural. It’s the move from being the subject of the story to being the author of the narrative.

That’s why I came up with Culture. Always On. — a phrase that shapes how we operate at Creator Television. The phrase came from lived experiences. Black culture is in the slang that pop culture has adopted, in the music we consume, and in the clothes we wear. It’s always on.

And when you look at how culture actually moves, it's a global celebration. Old traditions meeting new expressions, passed down and reimagined, shared authentically with the world in ways that create genuine connections and growth.

Which is why this month's lineup isn’t “special programming.” It’s just us, doing what we do. Creator Television was built around cultural truth — a network that doesn't just spotlight creators during heritage months, but stays tapped into the voices, moments, and stories that keep culture moving forward daily.
